It’s all about keeping up with those aesthetics…
Before we start talking about cars, it seems there’s one colour that people keep going back to no matter.
Whether it’s hair, or home interiors… the past few years has seen one colour in particular rise to the top, and now it’s taking over cars as well.
The most popular colour choice for cars among Irish drivers last year was… grey.
Yep, just over 47,000 people chose the colour for their new car, in varying shades of matte and metallic. The second popular choice was black, with just more than 24,000 drivers choosing it, according to the Central Statistics Office.
Coming in third place is white, with 19,500 choosing it and blue is fourth with 16,000 people opting for the colour.
- Grey (47,280)
- Black (24,262)
- White (19,443)
- Blue (15,815)
- Red (14,554)
- Other (5,691)
According to the Irish Mirror, there’s apparently a reason why people choose they colour they do.
Grey signifies calm and hard working people, while black suggests power. A red car means you are more dynamic, while white car owners are careful.
Yellow and blue cars apparently mean you are on guard.
