Prince Alexander Of Sweden Was Just Christened (But All Eyes Were On His Stunning Mum)

It was a glamorous turnout at Stockholm’s Drottningholm Palace Church today when little Prince Alexander of Sweden was christened.

According to the Daily Mail, Swedish royals, important politicians and well-dressed guests and family all arrived in their droves to celebrate the little prince in a ceremony steeped in Swedish tradition.

The cherubic tot, who was born in April this year, is the firstborn son of 37-year-old Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his wife, Princess Sofia, 31. Today, little Alexander was christened by Archbishop Antje Jackelen and wore the same gown that has been worn by generations before him, most recently his cousins, Princesses Estelle and Leonore, and Princes Nicolas and Oscar.

But much as the little prince looked adorable as ever, all eyes were on his stunning mama, dressed in a custom made Ida Sjöstedt lace dress and pearl headband.

But stunning as she looked, it wasn’t just Princess Sofia who stole the show with her fashion choices. Crown Princess Victoria, 39, who is Prince Carl Philip’s older sister – and the next Queen of Sweden – looked nothing short of amazing in her £3600(!) salmon pink Elie Saab creation.

There has been a bit of a baby boom in the Swedish royal family of late, with both Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madelaine welcoming two children each in the space of the last four years.

Ah, happy babies and fabulous mamas, we are all swooning over these lovely pictures today!
