“He will defend this case as a private citizen”
Prince Andrew has returned his military titles and royal patronages.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the news this evening.
The Palace has refused to comment on his ongoing legal case.
He will now face his pending sexual assault court case as a private citizen.
“Prince Andrew’s military affiliations and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen.”
“The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties. He is defending this case as a private citizen.”
His roles will now be divided amongst other members of the royal family.
He will also no longer use the title ‘His Royal Highness’.
Over 150 veterans wrote to Queen Elizabeth asking to strip him of all military rankings.
They said, “We understand that he is your son, but we write to you in your capacity as head of state and as commander-in-chief of the army, navy, and air force.
“These steps could have been taken at any time in the past 11 years. Please do not leave it any longer.”

According to OK!, Fergie is struggling with the news.
A source said this has been “a blow” for Ferguson and their daughters.
“They really did believe he would be able to just walk away from this.
“They thought the Newsnight interview would help him, but it did the exact opposite.”
“Nobody is above the law.”
“The family are regrouping and discussing what to do going forward.”
On Wednesday, Judge Kaplan dismissed a motion to have the lawsuit thrown out.
She accused the 61-year-old of sexually assaulting her in 2001. She was only 17-years-old at the time.
The 38-year-old said Andrew engaged in sexual acts without her consent.
However, Andrew has continued to deny the allegations.
Virginia also accused Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking and exploitation.
