Prince Charles and Camilla meet with Ashling Murphy’s parents

The royals held a private meeting with Ashling’s family.

Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall have met with the family of Ashling Murphy.

The royal couple is currently on tour in Ireland.

They expressed their condolences to the primary school teacher’s family during a visit to Brú Boru centre in Tipperary.

The royals held a private meeting with Ashling’s parents Raymond and Kathleen Murphy.

Ashling’s boyfriend Ryan, her brother Cathal, and her sister Amy also attended the meeting.

During their visit to Cashel, Prince Charles spoke about Ashling.

He paid tribute to the talented musician in a moving speech.

According to The Irish Independent, the 73-year-old said Ashling will always be remembered.

He said: “With profound sorrow and sympathy, perhaps I might be permitted to pay tribute to Ashling Murphy.”

Prince Charles said the beloved teacher “will not be forgotten”.

“She was taken from us far too soon and who I know was a friend to many here where she performed.”

“We were enormously touched to meet her family, who I know are here with us here today.”

He added, “Our most special heartfelt thoughts are with them.”

Ashling performed at the Brú Boru centre numerous times before her untimely death.

23-year-old Ashling Murphy was brutally attacked and killed while out jogging on January 12th in Tullamore.

Jozef Puska has been charged with murdering the 23-year-old teacher.
