From her nearest and dearest to (potentially) the Queen of England, Kate Middleton will receive many visitors when she gives birth to her second child later this week.

Prince George’s famously fun Uncle Harry won’t be one of them however, with the younger prince flying to Australia today to continue his secondment with the Australian army.

As his older brother William and his wife await Baby No. 2 (now said to be four days overdue) Prince Harry, 30, is completing a six-week secondment before he ends his 10 year military career. Harry served two tours of duty during his time in the army but recently announced it was time to start a new chapter. He will however continue his work with the Ministry of Defence’s recovery capability program, which supports wounded servicemen.

Harry plans to tour New Zealand from May 9 to May 16, so may not see his newest niece or nephew until his return.
