

In his new role, William will visit the organisation at The Royal London Hospital on Wednesday morning meeting with staff and hospital patients for a tea party. And it's no doubt that this campaign or line of work is close to William's heart, as he operated as an East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot from 2015 to 201. During his time he acted as a first responder and so, raising funds for life-saving treatments and new facilities from this campaign is certainly something William is all for.His Royal Highness, the Duke of Cambridge, has landed at our charity’s helipad. Speaking about his time as an air ambulance pilot during September's launch of Mental Health At Work; William revealed how tough the job was and how he struggled with his mental health during that time.
"You're always dealing with despair and sadness and injury. The attrition builds up and you never really have the opportunity to offload anything if you're not careful," William said during his speech.And although the royal is out on duty today during his wife, Kate Middleton's 37th birthday, it is expected that they will spend the evening together alongside their children.
