Prince William and Kate concerned about what the future holds for George

8-year-old Prince George is third in line to the throne.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are concerned about Prince George’s future. The future king may only be 8-years-old, but that hasn’t stopped his parents from worrying about what lies ahead for their little boy.

According to a royal source, Prince William and Kate’s worries increased after the young boy’s appearance at the Euros. The prince was cruelly mocked and trolled on social media, which pushed the parents to take him out of the spotlight.

It is believed the couple has been “so upset by the rudeness of people mocking a little boy”, Daily Mail reports.

“Of course, William and Kate are nervous about what the future holds for George. He’s growing up in a different era to his parents. Times have changed since then.”

“There wasn’t social media or internet trolls when William and Kate were children,” a source told US Weekly.

“The Cambridges feel it’s necessary to shield George, Charlotte and Louis from the spotlight and have become cautious about the appearances [they] make,” they revealed.

The Cambridge children are usually only seen at official royal events like Trooping the Colour or at Sandringham for Christmas mass, but they have joined their parents on royal engagements too.

Last Christmas, the family of five attended a special pantomime performance at the Palladium in London. The event was held to thank key workers and their families for everything they did during the pandemic.

However, since the incident after the Euros, the Duke and Duchess are being more cautious about their children’s public appearances.

“Kate and William are being more selective about the events he attends.”
