Princess Catherine is celebrating her 43rd birthday today
Princess Catherine turns 43 today and Prince William is leading the birthday tributes to his wife.
The future king posted a moving tribute to his wife on their public Instagram account. The dad-of-three praised Kate’s strength after she went through cancer treatment in 2024.
Alongside a beautiful black and white photo of Kate, William wrote: “To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable.”
Prince William added: “George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W.”
The unusually personal message has surprised fans with many saying his message was “beautiful and moving”.
The tribute comes after Prince William admitted 2024 was the toughest year of his life.
“It’s been dreadful. It’s probably been the hardest year in my life,” Prince William said in November.
“So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult,” he added.
Kate was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 but has since returned to her royal duties.
In September, Kate confirmed that her chemotherapy was complete.
“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
“The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” Princess Catherine added.
