Nóra Quoirin’s parents have confirmed that the body found in the Malaysian rainforest is their daughter.

The remains were discovered earlier this morning, 2km away from the resort where the 15-year-old was staying with her family.

The Lucie Blackman Trust, who are handling media enquiries for the Quoirin family, said this morning that it seemed “likely” that the body found was that of the Franco-Irish teen.

Nóra’s parents, Meabh and Sebastian, identified the body this afternoon at a local hospital.

Authorities have asked for privacy for the family at this time.
