Rachel Gorry and her partner Adrien Kiernan welcomed their twin boy and girl on Friday (August 15).
Rachel, who is now a mammy to five kids, shared the happy news on her Instagram with three black-and-white pictures showing the newborns' feet and herself and Adrien in the hospital.
She captioned the post: "Our two tiny miracles decided to make their entrance into the world this morning and are doing so well. We’re completely and utterly in love with them."
Yesterday, she shared another post revealing the names of her new babies. She shared two pictures of the babies and their blankets, which have their names embroidered on them. Rachel's newborn daughter is named Evie, and her newborn son is named Ryan.
It didn't take long for the heartfelt comments to come flooding in, some from well-known faces, congratulating Rachel, Adrien, Leah, Holly, and Hannah on the naming of the twins.
Susan McCarthy wrote: "So so so adorable," and Alan Clarke joked: "vice godfather."
Rachel announced her pregnancy back in February and shared that she was equally as happy as she was terrified to become a mum-of-five.
"I am so excited to be a mammy of five, can I also say I am also absolutely terrified to become a mother of five," she told her followers during a Q&A.
"I can't even believe I'm a mother of three, let alone adding on two more," per Evoke.ie
"It's a bit mad, look I know it's going to be hard but I'm sure it will be great fun... I don't know if that's me trying to convince myself, I know it's going to be hard," she added.
"I can only imagine how hard it is, it's very hard to have one baby, you're so tired and this little human just takes up all of your time.
"Then I also have three other humans and now two other little humans. It's going to be a lot, I'm so excited, I'm terrified, but I'm sure it'll all be grand," she continued.
While Rachel said that she and Adrien didn't mind what sex their little ones were, she revealed that she was thrilled when they found out they were expecting a little girl and a baby boy.
Rachel points out that her partner will now get to experience raising both sexes, as he doesn't have any kids of his own.
Yet, he acts as a stepdad to Rachel's three girls, Hannah, Leah, and Holly, whom she shares with her late husband, Daniel.
"I did think it would be nice to have a girl and a boy for Eddie because he doesn't have any children. So I just thought it'd be nice, but we didn't care, he didn't care. We're just delighted, but to be honest with you, it didn't matter what they were. To us, we just want healthy babies," Rachel explained.
A massive congratulations to Rachel and Adrien on the birth of the twins.
Five kids will be one hell of a ride, but a magnificent one at that.
