Met Eireann issue rain warning for whole of Ireland for tomorrow

Jade Hayden

Ugh.

It’s been genuinely roasting all over Ireland these past few days, and while we’ve been absolutely delighted by this weather-based development, there’s been a storm brewing and it’s about to head our way.

Today, Met Eireann issued a nationwide weather warning for high intensity rainfall across the country and we are less than delighted about it, to be honest.

The yellow warning covers the whole of Ireland as we are expect up to 50mm on rain in a short space of time on Friday, June 1 (tomorrow).

There’s even a chance of some heavy, localised severe thunderstorm activity, spot flooding and lightning strikes.

Great.

The weather warning is valid until tomorrow evening at 10pm so if you’re planning on heading out for a few scoops, you may want to bring a brolly with you, wherever it is you may be.

Today, however, the weather should stay nice and hot with temperatures set to rise to as high as 27 degrees in some parts of the country.

Tomorrow will be hot too, but it’ll also be extremely humid… and probably ruined by all that rain, to be honest.
