Regé-Jean Page addresses those Bridgerton rumours
Bridgerton fans are set to be pretty gutted.
Regé-Jean Page has addressed the rumours that he is returning to Bridgerton.
And it's not good news.
The actor rose to fame when he starred as the Duke of Hastings in the popular Netflix show.
Earlier this week rumours circulated claiming he was interested in heading back to Bridgerton, but it is not happening.
Page shut down the rumours in a recent Instagram post after reuniting with his co-star Jonathan Bailey.
Alongside a photo of the pair in Italy, he shut down the rumours.
"The boys are back in town," he shared.
"No, I’m not going back to the show btw - the papers made that one up.
"But we had the best, and most stylish, catch up I’ve had in a while over some truly excellent Italian coffee and sunshine."
A source previously told The Sun that the actor was planning on returning to Bridgerton.
The source shared, "Rege-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and to move on to other projects.”
“But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses. Nothing has been formally agreed yet, but watch this space.”
The actor stressed that he is focusing on other projects at the moment.
He wants to focus on his film career rather than starring in another series.
He is set to star opposite Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in The Gray Man this summer.
