Relive and share the movies that shaped your childhood with your own offspring

Sive O'Brien

I am positively BURSTING at the thought of bringing my little ones to the flix to see my all-time favourite movies on the big screen: E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Labyrinth, Willy Wonka, Indiana Jones, The Neverending Story, The Goonies, Stand by Me… talk about reliving your childhood (or am I just showing my age?).

Light House Cinema, Dublin presents a season of ‘Films You’d Love Your Kids To See’ this July and August to introduce your offsprings to the movies that shaped your childhood and help foster a love of good, creative film.

Special events include Light House Cinema Book Club screenings of Willy Wonka and Stand By Me (both of which will have special Kids’ Book Club screenings).

And if you fancy leaving the kids at home, there’ll be late night screenings for adults in denial about being grown-ups…
