HerFamily

I usually do my shopping at wherever is handiest but I’ll be honest, I do have a favourite supermarket that, if I had the time and energy to go to every time, I would.

But anyway, that’s enough about me, a recent survey has found that Supervalu is Ireland’s favourite supermarket so far this year.

According to RTÉ, research conducted by Kantar Worldpanel revealed that this chain has the largest share of the country’s grocery market, with 24.7 per cent.

The study looked at the first 3 months of 2016 and found that Supervalu took the top spot, followed by Tesco (with 23.9 per cent of the market) and Dunnes (with 23.5 per cent).

RTÉ also reported that German supermarket Lidl is growing at the fastest rate in Ireland which means there could be a new leader this time next year.
