Rochelle Humes has responded to the backlash she received for getting C-sections.

Both of the presenter’s daughters and her baby boy were born via cesarean section.

The former singer opened up about the judgemental and harsh comments she received about their births on her podcast.

“’I thought I was going to have a natural birth, I thought that was what I was supposed to do,” she confessed.

Rochelle explained that things didn’t go as she expected.

“It didn’t happen that way, but I was OK with that,” the mum reflected.

Rochelle wasn’t prepared for the backlash that comes with having a C-section.

The former singer revealed people have asked her is she “too posh to push” in the past.

“I remember feeling really, really offended. Almost like I’d failed, like I couldn’t do it properly.”

Rochelle said nobody should judge a woman for how she delivers her child.

She said it is incredibly wrong to say one way is a ‘natural’ birth as it can make mums feel inferior.

The mum-of-three said she has noticed an increase in people saying they’ve had a ‘natural birth’.

She stressed that having a C-section is natural too.

“I’m noticing online more people talking about the way they delivered and some saying, ‘I had a natural birth’, and someone else saying, ‘well, you had a vaginal birth.”

“I brought my baby into the world, it just didn’t go the way I thought,” the mum stressed.

Nobody knows how their birth might go and sometimes the plan you had gone the complete opposite way.

What matters is your baby arrives into the world healthy and safe.
