Rock band Metallica donate a quarter of a million to help build children’s hospital

This is incredible.

Rock band Metallic have recently donated  €250,000 to help build a children’s hospital in Romania.

The facility will be the first pediatric oncology and radiotherapy hospital in the country and will be equipped with all the latest medical technology available.

This donation is just one of the many donations made by the band to children’s charities across the globe.

The heavy metal band presented the cheque to the Daruieste Viata Association at the Arena Națională in Bucharest, Romania last week.

The President of Daruieste Viata Association,Carmen Uscatu, said in a statement:

“The donation made by Metallica has a special meaning to our project … their music inspires and touches so many Romanians, and at the same time, so many Romanians are inspired by and contribute to the establishment of the first Pediatric Oncology and Radiotherapy Hospital in Romania, in order to give children with cancer a chance to live.”

Metallica has also made donations to other notable children’s charities including Lunches 4 Kids in Prague, Hope in Finland and MOT in Norway.
