“By sharing our stories, we can support others.”

Rosanna Davison has prasied Jennifer Aniston for speaking out about her “challenging” experience with IVF.

Yesterday, Allure published an interview with Jennifer in which she discusses how she tried to get pregnant with IVF, but ultimately wasn’t able. She also shared how difficult it was to have the press speculate on whether or not she was going to have a baby, or suggest that she prioritised her career over family.

“I was trying to get pregnant,” she said. “It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road. All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it.”

She added that she has “zero regrets” and now feels a sense of relief.

“I have zero regrets,” she said. “I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

Jennifer also alluded to the deeply unwarranted criticism she got for not having children.

“God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child,” she said. “And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies. I don’t have anything to hide at this point.”

Rosanna Davison took to her Instagram stories to praise Jennifer for sharing an experience that is relatable to so many.

She wrote: “Brave lady Jennifer Anison has opened up about her difficult IVF journey as she tried to start and family and I love her even more for this.

“Like many others, her journey didn’t end as she’d hoped but her honesty will help so many to feel less alone. By sharing our stories, we can support others.”
