Well, this is awkward.
As the Western Canada Rose spoke to Dathí on stage tonight, she may have made a grave error.
While chatting to the host, Sinéad McGahern said that she has “23 cousins in the UK,” 20 in Ireland and three in England.
Ummm…
Of course, the minute the good people of Twitter heard this, they began to freak.
We’ll let them take it from here:
Omg the Canadian Rose just claimed all 23 of her cousins are in the U.K., 20 in Ireland and 3 in England. She’s not winning #RoseOfTralee

When Western Canada says she has 23 cousins “in the UK”… but 20 of them live in Ireland. #RoseofTralee pic.twitter.com/pkTs0cY1vw

If she wanted to win the rose of Tralee, mayyyybe she should learn the difference between the UK and Ireland ? #Roseoftralee

Did she just say she has 23 cousins in the UK with 20 here and 3 in England? Someone get Western Canada a map #Roseoftralee

Eeek! What do you think the chances are of her winning?
