Earlier this week, Roz Purcell announced that she had tied the knot with her partner, Zach Desmond, in an intimate ceremony.
The RTÉ 2FM presenter has now also revealed the reason some important family members were absent from her big day.
Roz had previously told her followers that her wedding would take place in May, however, the presenter took to Instagram to reveal that they had already tied the knot in a more intimate ceremony first.
Alongside some stunning wedding snaps, Roz wrote: “We’re married .”
Roz wore a gorgeous lace gown, paired with a matching lace veil, while Zach sported a smart traditional black suit.
The Irish model has since shared additional details about her wedding preparations, revealing that she and Zach plan to hold a second ceremony as well as addressing why some very important family members were absent this time around.
In a wedding get-ready-with-me video, Roz described the Dublin civil wedding as a “very small ceremony” with “just our family.”
She went on to explain that she and Zach are planning a bigger party in May, with Roz joking: “For two people who wanted to elope and just have one very small affair, we’re now having two.”
She continued: “By the way, I think a lot of people will be like ‘Roz, where were your dogs today?’ The dogs are coming to the wedding in May.”
“I didn’t bring them to this one because I would just worry about them being in the city centre. I know for a fact I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on getting married.”
“I’d be like ‘what if they get off the lead and they run out into the street?’ because my mind works in worst-case scenarios. They’re playing a very big part in the May wedding.”
Roz also briefly opened up about her dress, revealing that she took a leap of faith by ordering it online.
“Today I’m wearing this vintage dress, halter neck, I got it online and was so afraid, obviously I never tried it on,” Roz said. “It arrived, and it’s amazing, it’s such great quality.”
