Ryan Gosling Made The Most ADORABLE Acceptance Speech Thanking His Mrs!

Alison Bough

Ryan Gosling had women all over the world swooning last night as he accepted his award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture at the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California.

The 36-year-old Canadian picked up the Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in ‘La La Land‘ at The Beverly Hilton Hotel last night. The dad-of-two reduced ladies everywhere to blubbering messes with his acceptance speech thanking his wife, Eva Mendes, for keeping everything going behind the scenes:

“There’s just no time to thank everyone. I just would like to try and thank one person properly, and say that while I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer.

If she hadn’t taken all that on so that I could have this experience, would surely be someone else up here other than me to today.”

Speaking directly to his beloved wife, Ryan then dedicated his award to Eva’s brother who sadly passed away last April after a battle with throat cancer:

“So sweetheart, thank you, to my daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, I love you. And if I may, I’d like to dedicate this to the memory of her brother, Juan Carlos Mendez.”

Tragically, Juan died aged 53 just a couple of weeks before his niece Amada was born.
