Ryan Reynolds is worried about his daughter’s first word

Whatever your child’s first word was, it probably wasn’t this…

Ryan Reynolds was promoting his new film Deadpool this week when he admitted he is worried his daughter’s first word will be an expletive. James, who is seven months old, has spent a lot of time on set with her dad, and the 38-year-old actor hopes the bad language used in the film won’t turn her into a potty-mouthed tot.

“She’s going to learn those words eventually anyway,” he told E at a comic event in San Diego. “If her first word is f**k, then I’ve done something wrong, but otherwise I think we’re fine. I think we’re OK.”

He added, “The second or third [word], that’s fine. But the first? No. It’s going to have to be Mom or Dad. I’m rooting for Mom.”

The dad of one came under fire on social media recently after he was photographed (incorrectly) wearing his daughter in a sling. It’s not easy being a first-time celebrity parent.
