This is the new way that Ryanair are cashing in on their passengers

To stop people bringing "the kitchen sink".

More room for people, less room for your bags.

According to the Independent, Ryanair has started adding eight more people to their same-sized planes but instead will only have room for one or two more extra cabin bags which will squeeze more money from people when it comes to their luggage.

The new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will be introduced next spring in Ireland and although they are no bigger than the original planes that Ryanair is using at the moment, they will be fitting more people on it.

Ryanair will now hold 197 passengers instead of the 189 at present which is happening due to a slight configuration in the design of the plane and the use of new slimline seats.

Space for cabin baggage has not followed suit though and instead the airline are stamping down on people “bringing the kitchen sink” with them on the plane.

The airline wants to make sure that people do not take advantage of this anymore and will be trying to extract more cash from hard-pressed passengers.

They have warned that: “Only the first 90 wheelie bags are guaranteed to go in the overheads. If you want to be certain your bag goes in the overhead you should add Priority Boarding”, which adds €5.50 per person each way.

This comes after Michael O’Leary had a blunt message for those complaining about Ryanair’s seating policy.
