Sabrina star Melissa Joan Hart wins 1 Million dollars for youth charity

She’s the only celebrity to hit the one million jackpot.

While most of us know Melissa Joan Hart as Clarissa or Sabrina the Teenage Witch, she’s now in the spotlight for a very different reason.

The Drive Me Crazy star has become one of only three people to win the Wheel of Fortune one million jackpot since 2008, and even better, she is giving it all to charity!

During a recent game of Wheel of Fortune, Hart played against two other celebrity contestants, Tituss Burgess and Lacey Chabert of Mean Girls fame (who was actually only in Ireland last month).

Hart said the whole room was in shock when she became the first celebrity contestant to win the one million jackpot;

“Vanna White’s face turned white. Vanna looked at me and was like, ‘You got it! You got it!’

I hit the roof. She hit the roof.

It was super exciting and pretty nerve-wracking; I rarely win game shows.”

Hart was so elated with her one that she even asked if she could take the one million prop sign home with her.

A discussion had to be had with the prop department, but in the end it was decided she could keep it especially since she wouldn’t be leaving with the cash as that is going to a special cause.

Hart’s one million dollar prize will be going to Youth Villages, a charity that helps emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families.

When quizzed as to whether or not she used her magic powers to secure the win, Hart insists no witchcraft was involved;

“I would like to say witchcraft was involved. But to be honest, I prayed a lot more than any kind of sorcery. I literally prayed every round, especially that winning round.”

So no help from auntie Hilda or Zelda but nevertheless a lot of money going to an amazing cause that will help many children.
