If you get a phone call from a stranger offering you the chance to play the Euromillions for free, rest assured: it really is too good to be true.
A number of people have reported that they received odd calls from a Dublin number. On answering, they were offered an opportunity to enter the lottery free of charge.
A National Lottery spokeswoman told Dublin Live: “We have been contacted by several people in the last few weeks about such calls.
“We would like to reassure our players, and members of the public, that this activity has nothing to do with the National Lottery, and we would advise caution.”
