All of the staff and children at Rosemead have been accounted for and are safe and well.
An inspection was conducted and experts stressed that the building is safe and the day can continue as normal.
There is no further risk of collapse anywhere else in the building.
Rosemead Preparatory issued a statement after the shocking incident:
"This morning in one of our Year 3 classrooms, a ceiling collapsed resulting in the attendance of the emergency services.
"We are working closely with the authorities to understand the cause of the incident."
"Parents and families can be reassured that the school day is continuing for the rest of the school."
The staff at Rosemead vowed to do everything to support both pupils and their families.
