School warns Dublin parents about a man approaching kids

Laura Holland

Parents of children attending a school in South Dublin have been warned about a man approaching children.

A number of parents have reported a suspicious man around the schools in the Rathgar area in South Dublin. The Gardaí have been contacted and a warning has been issued for parents and guardians in the area to be extra vigilant.

According to The Sun, one of the Principal’s sent out this note to parents:

“Dear Parents, An Garda Siochana contacted me today to advise that pupils attending all schools in Rathgar take sensible precautions travelling to and from school.

This is in light of information received about reports of the alleged activities of a young male outside another school in the area.”

A source also said:

“All the parents were really spooked to be told there’s some kind of paedo hanging around.

Hopefully, they’ll find out who it is because it’s shocking to think someone dangerous could be hanging around the schools putting our kids at risk.”
