Let the countdown begin!

Netflix has finally given us a first look at season 2 of Bridgerton.

We’ve still got a little over two months to go until season 2 lands, but Netflix has given fans of the show a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Season 2 will centre around Anthony Bridgerton as he searches for a partner.

“Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony’s search for a debutante who meets his impossible standards seems ill-fated until Kate (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) Sharma arrive from India.

“When Anthony begins to court Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions — a true love match is not high on his priority list.”

“Kate decides to do everything in her power to stop the union.

“But in doing so, Kate and Anthony’s verbal sparring matches only bring them closer together, complicating matters on both sides.”

Actor Jonathan Bailey, who plays Antony, teased the new season on Instagram. “A new season. A new love story,” he wrote alongside a photo of Anthony and Kate.

Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting the second season.

One wrote, “We can’t wait to finally enjoy it and see everything you worked on in the past year.”

There will be one notable absence from the second season. Actor Rége-Jean Page won’t be returning, but that doesn’t mean you should give up on Bridgerton.

One fan commented, “Everyone who doesn’t watch s2 coz the Duke ain’t in it will miss out on one of the best love stories out of the whole book series.

“Duke and Daphne is probably one of the most boring stories,” they said.

Season 2 of Bridgerton airs on Netflix on March 25th.
