This secret feature on your iPhone will make you freak out a little

Trine Jensen-Burke

When it comes to things we simply cannot live without these days, our iPhones score pretty high on the list for most of us.

It’s our calendar, our alarm clock, our shopping list, our camera and our social media lifeline  – all rolled up in one.

We also love how phones nowadays are getting so advanced that we sort of discover new things about them almost daily – and this latest discovery had us all pretty excited, to be honest.

As in; did you know that your iPhone has a built-in magnifying glass, guys? Yup, it actually does. Somewhere down in the deep sea of exciting secret your iPhone holds, it also now has a very nifty magnifying glass tool – letting you live your best detective sleuth life!

We are only discovering this now, but the feature was actually rolled out with Apple’s iOS 10 update back in September. It was obviously thought up as a visual aid for people who need it, but we like to think we will now be exploring all sorts of exciting details super close up.

Dying to find yours now? it’s easy peasy, mamas.

Go to Settings > General > Accessibility. Once there, locate “Magnifier” and turn it on. So far, so good. Now, once it’s in the “on” position, you can access it by triple-clicking the Home button. And to exit, simply press the Home button again.

Clever, huh?!

This magnifier mode allows you to zoom in and out on objects (like your baby snoozing in her rocker for great Instagram moments), change brightness, and change the colour of the filter.

If you need us, we are out playing detectives now.
