Serena Williams is pregnant with baby #2

Serena Williams has revealed she is pregnant with her second child. The tennis star confirmed her second pregnancy at last night’s Met Gala.

The mum told reporters that there was an extra special guest with her and her husband Alexis Ohanian at last night’s lavish event.

Williams also confirmed the news on social media.

“Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala.”

This is her second child with her husband Alexis Ohanian. The couple welcomed a daughter named Olympia in September 2017.

Williams had a difficult labour and needed an emergency c-section. Her baby girl’s heart rate dropped suddenly during delivery. The tennis pro then suffered a pulmonary embolism shortly after giving birth to her daughter.

The mum bravely revealed she was suffering from postpartum depression in August 2018.

Williams told her followers, “Last week was not easy for me. Not only was I accepting some tough personal stuff, but I just was in a funk. Mostly, I felt like I was not a good mom.”

“It’s totally normal to feel like I’m not doing enough for my baby. We have all been there. I work a lot, I train, and I’m trying to be the best athlete I can be.”

“However, that means although I have been with her every day of her life, I’m not around as much as I would like to be. Most of you moms deal with the same thing. Whether stay-at-home or working, finding that balance with kids is a true art. You are the true heroes.”

“I’m here to say: if you are having a rough day or week–it’s ok–I am, too!!! There’s always tomm!” the soon-to-be mum-of-two added.
