Seven years married today! A look back at Kate and Will throughout the years
Seven years later.
Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrate their wedding anniversary of seven years. And to mark the occasion, Kensington Palace shared a candid throwback from the day the pair became husband and wife.
Showing them driving off in a vintage car that says "just wed", the palace captioned the image saying: "Seven years ago today - thank you for all the lovely messages on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding anniversary!"
And so, to mark the occasion ourselves, we are taking a trip down memory lane, looking at some images of the royal couple throughout the years.
So where did it all begin?
Well, it was at St Andrews University, where William and Kate were both studying art history. Moving in together with two housemates in 2003, the couple were still only friends until Kate split from her boyfriend in 2004 and Kate and William become official in the summer of 2005 when they were pictured skiing in Klosters together. The pair were then very loved up come graduation day.
In 2006 after graduation, Kate got a job in Jigsaw and Prince William joined the elite Royal Military Academy. One of Kate's most significant appearances ever was when she attended William's graduation as an Army officer, we then knew she had been "accepted" by the royal family.
April 2008 was when the couple made their next appearance after a rumoured rocky split, the pair were back together and looking stronger than ever for William to receive his wings as a qualified RAF pilot from the Prince of Wales at a ceremony in Cranwell.
In October 2010, shortly after taking the big step and moving in together, the couple were spotted attending a friends wedding in Gloucestershire, speculation of their own engagement began to rise among fans and followers.
November 2010... THEY'RE ENGAGED. Speculation was correct and Clarence House confirms the news we had been waiting for. Later on that week it was announced the royal nuptials would take place on 29 April, 2011.
On April 29, 2011, the moment we had all been waiting for since the engagement announcement, William and Kate tie the knot at Westminster Abbey in London. The royal couple are now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate and William then go on their first tour as husband and wife in late 2011, visiting Canada and California. They even attended a rodeo wearing matching hats, too cute!
In December 2012, the couple announced their biggest news since the engagement, there was a royal baby on the way. St James's Palace announced the news and both the royal family and the Middletons were over the moon.
In July 2013, Kate gave birth to a little boy. HRH Prince George of Cambridge is welcomed into the world at St Mary's Hospital in London.
In September 2014, a short year after Prince George was born, Kensington Palace confirms baby number two is on the way!
On 2 May 2015, the royal couple welcome their daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The new Princess is introduced to the world on the steps of the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington.
In June 2016, during the annual Trooping the Colour celebrations, the family of four appear together and look happier than ever. So cute!
In September 2016, the royal family make their first official trip all together, visiting Canada for eight days. The Cambridges look incredible as the touch down all wearing blue.
May 2017, William and Kate attend the wedding of Kate's sister Pippa. Kate and William's children George and Charlotte were both in attendance as well as Prince Harry.
September 2017, Kensington Palace announce that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child.
They write on social media: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announced that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
April 2018, HRH Prince Louis Arthur Charles is born on April 23, 2018. The couple appear on the steps of the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington hours later with their newest family member.
Seven years together today.
