Shakira and Gerard Piqué have ended their relationship after 11 years together. The Hips Don't Lie singer announced the news in a short statement. "We regret to confirm that we are separating. "For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we request respect for (our) privacy. "Thank you for your understanding." The She Wolf singer and Piqué started dating in 2011. The pair met when Shakira was filming the video for her World Cup song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) in 2010. Shakira and Piqué share two children together. The singer gave birth to their first son Milan on January 22nd, 2013. She then gave birth to their second child, a son named Sasha on January 29th, 2015. Fans believe Piqué cheated on the singer after the release of her latest song. The song 'Te felicito' is about someone who has cheated on his partner. In the song, Shakira sings about the emotional damage one suffers after being cheated on. The lyrics read: "Don't tell me you're sorry, that seems sincere, but I know you well and I know you're lying. "I congratulate you, how well you act, of that I have no doubt. With your role you continue, you look good in that show." A Spanish news outlet also claimed the singer caught her partner cheating on her. Shakira has yet to respond to the speculation.
