Kat O'Connor

It’s a girl!

Huge congratulations are in order for Síle Seoige who has become a mum for the second time.

The presenter confirmed the news on Instagram by posting a beautiful black and white photo of her baby.

The mum confirmed she gave birth to a daughter on November 11th.

“Clíodhna, our baby daughter arrived into the world on Thursday the 11th of November in a bit of a hurry but I still (luckily) had the birth I had hoped for, with Damien by my side every step of the way.”

The name Clíodhna is of Irish origin. In some Irish myths, the name means beautiful goddess of love and beauty.

The mum-of-two has praised the incredible birth team at The Coombe Hospital in Dublin, as well as consultant Professor Deirdre Murphy and midwives Rachel and Dara.

She thanked them “for believing in me and empowering me to have the birth experience I was hoping for”.

She added, “Shout out to perineal massage too for a quick recovery post birth.”

The mum confirmed she has returned home with baby Clíodhna.

“Cathal has taken to the role of big brother brilliantly,” she gushed.

“Trying to soak up every euphoric and exhausting second while we can and feeling beyond thankful that she’s here.”

Síle and her husband Damien O’Farrell are also parents to son Cathal.

We couldn’t be happier for Síle. Her baby girl really is adorable.
