Singer Luke Thomas ‘devastated’ after the death of his girlfriend Ciara

Luke Thomas shared the devastating news on Instagram this week

Ciara died surrounded by her loved ones at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin, on Monday, January 19th.

She was laid to rest today, Friday, January 23rd.

Ciara's heartbroken family confirmed she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.

The Swing Cats frontman shared a tribute to Ciara on his Instagram this week. Alongside a series of photos of the couple together, the singer said he is "absolutely devastated."

Tributes poured in for Ciara after Luke shared the heartbreaking news.

Rosanna Davison wrote, "Absolutely heartbroken for you and your families, Luke. I’m so sorry. Sending you loads of love."

Síle Seoige added, "Oh Luke...I am truly sorry. Sending you all my love."

Una Healy added, "So so sorry for your loss, Luke. This is devastating news. My deepest condolences to you and all of Ciara’s family and friends."

Singer Lisa McHugh added, "Cannot believe this. Absolutely heartbroken for you. Sending all our love.”

Luke and Ciara were in a relationship for two years before her untimely passing. The couple had celebrated their second anniversary in September 2025.
