Six people have been sadly killed following an attack at a kindergarten in southern China.
The incident occurred in south China's Guangdong province and has also left one wounded.
"The victims include one teacher, two parents and three students," a spokeswoman for the Lianjiang city government said.
She did not provide the details of the victims' identities or ages, as well as the weapon that was used in the attack.
Noting that a police investigation is now underway, she added: "One suspect has been arrested."
The incident occurred at around 7.40am, China News Network reported, which is 12.40am Irish time.
Fatal attacks like this at schools have been occurring throughout China as authorities have increased security in these areas.
