American rapper Snoop Dogg’s 10-month-old granddaughter has died, his daughter Cori Broadus has announced.
Broadus announced on Saturday afternoon the passing of her daughter Codi, as she shared a black-and-white photo where she is seen holding her baby in her arms.
“Monday, I lost the love of my live. My Codi”, she wrote on the picture shared on Instagram stories.
The baby was born three months premature, as Broadus revealed in February of last year.
She then spent most of the next 10 months in the neonatal intensive care unit or NICU.
In the first days of the new year, just three weeks ago, Broadus, 26, shared a photo of her and Codi relaxing in bed together.
“She’s home. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all”, she wrote.
A heartfelt tribute to his daughter was shared also by Wayne Deuce, Codi’s father. He wrote on social media that he will always be with her.
