Most new parents receive a deluge of pink or blue baby cards to congratulate them on their new arrival. When you give birth to a royal baby, however, you might need more than a mantelpiece to display them all. Kensington Palace released this jaw-dropping image of the cards received from well wishers all over the world after the birth of Princess Charlotte on May 2.

The image was shared along with a photograph of some of the beautiful handmade gifts, many hand-crocheted and knitted, sent by fans of Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cambridge worldwide. At this rate poor Kate will be writing thank-you cards until Charlotte's 21st.
