Frankie Smith’s father has spoken out about his daughter.
The mother of Star Hobson has said her ex-girlfriend Savannah Brockhill is a “monster”.
Frankie Smith’s daughter Star Hobson was killed by Brockhill in 2020. She was only 16-months-old.
Frankie’s father told The Mirror that she has branded her ex “the monster”.
He also said she has only realised what has happened recently.
He said his daughter was brainwashed by Brockhill.
David Fawcett said he begged her to leave but it was too late.
“Frankie calls her “The Monster’” too. It’s dawned on her what’s happened now.”
“She’s lost a couple of friends who got moved to an open prison in York and she was upset about that, it was without warning then she had one friend left.
“But she was told at the weekend that she’s being moved. She said “I’ve got no friends left now”.’”
He said his daughter thinks about Star every single day.
“She also has pictures of Star all over her cell and misses her every day.
“She did not go to her funeral and has not been to her final resting place so finds it hard to accept she’s gone,” he added.
“We know people have different opinions on this. But one thing we all agree on is that if Frankie had never met this monster none of this would ever have happened.”
David’s words come after his daughter’s sentence was lengthened.
Smith was originally sentenced to 8 years in prison for causing or allowing the death of the 16-month-old, but judges ruled that that sentence was too lenient and extended it to 12 years.
Savannah Brockhill was found guilty of murdering 16-month-old Star. She has been sentenced to a minimum of 25 years.
