Star Hobson’s great-grandfather says killer Savannah Brockhill is “pure evil”

Star Hobson’s great-grandfather says Brockhill is “pure evil”.

David Fawcett said killer Savannah Brockhill is “pure evil”.

Yesterday, Brockhill was found guilty of the little girl’s death.

Star suffered extreme abuse in the months leading up to her death, but her untimely passing was caused by “utterly catastrophic” injuries.

Speaking outside the court yesterday, Mr. Fawcett said: “I’m just pleased we got a murder conviction for Savannah Brockhill.”

“It’s disgusting because there were five referrals, but not one of them did anything. It’s just beyond belief, really.”

Mr. Fawcett, who is Frankie Smith’s grandfather, said the death of Star has ruined their family.

He said Brockhill is a true monster and has wrecked their family.

“To me, she was just pure evil. I just can’t believe she could do something like that to a baby girl.”

Star Hobson

“We were just a quiet, lovely family, but she ascended from the bowels of hell and just completely devastated and wrecked our family.”

Brockhill was found guilty of Star Hobson’s murder, but Star’s mother Frankie Smith was found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child.

Star was subjected to extreme physical and psychological abuse before dying on September 22nd, 2020.

Star suffered catastrophic injuries last September. As a result of them, the 16-month-old suffered cardiac arrest.

Doctors did everything to save Star, but her injuries were “unsurvivable”.

Anita Banerjee, from Child Protective Services, said Star was a “helpless young child”.

“Star was subjected to endless physical assaults and psychological harm.”

“It is impossible to imagine how any parent or carer could inflict this level of pain and suffering on an entirely defenseless little girl.”

Brockhill and Smith will be sentenced today.
