A status yellow wind warning has been issued for the entire country.
According to Met Eireann, southeast winds, later veering southerly, will gust 90-110km/h on Wednesday, December 18.
These winds will be strongest in coastal areas, but despite this, a weather warning has been issued for the entire country.
It will be valid from tomorrow, Wednesday, at noon to 23.59pm.
A status yellow rainfall warning has also been issued for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford.
Heavy rain is expected tomorrow, pushing northeastwards with accumulations of 30-40mm. There is also a risk of localised flooding.
The rainfall warning is valid from 4am to 7pm on Wednesday.
