Be careful on the roads today.
AA Roadwatch is warning drivers to be careful today as Storm Diana batters the country.
With a
weather warning in place for 16 counties across the country, heavy traffic is expected.
The traffic boadcasting service said: "Slow down on wet roads and leave plenty of space between your vehicle and the one in front. Watch out too for wind-blown debris and take extra care around pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists."
Meanwhile, here is an updated condition of
national traffic:
Meath: The N2 is closed now both ways just north of Kilmoon Cross as Gardai deal with a crash. Traffic is heaviest southbound on approach.
Kildare/Dublin: Gardai are en route to a crash on the N7 inbound reportedly after J5 Athgoe. Traffic is quite heavy on approach from J8 Johnstown.
Kildare/Dublin: Traffic is slow on the M4 eastbound from J7 Maynooth to J6 Celbridge and again from J4 Newcastle through to the M50.
Clare/Limerick: In Ardnacrusha, the Corbally Rd (R463) is closed both ways at Barry’s Shop as emergency services deal with a crash.
Limerick: There are northbound delays on the N21 through Adare.
Meath/Dublin: It’s quite heavy inbound on the N3 from before J4 Clonee to J2 Blanchardstown.
Wicklow: The N11 is already busy northbound from J13 Newcastle to J10 Delgany, and again further north from before J8 Kilmacanogue to J7 Bray South.
Cork: It’s slow from Ballinacurra direction to the Lakeview R/A in Midleton.
