Time to get the sunscreen out: after a rocky start (and even some ground frost in places last night) it seems Summer 2015 has finally arrived.
Most of the country will bask in some well deserved June sunshine today, with temperatures of up to 22 degrees expected for the rest of the week.
According to Met Eireann, Thursday is likely to be cloudy but warm with temperatures of at least 18 degrees on Friday, rising to a possible 22 degrees.
Unfortunately for midweek workers, the weekend isn’t as promising, with cooler temperatures and showers on the way in the East and South East.
There’s only one thing for it: sunbathing at lunchtime.
