The link began circulating over the weekend.

Tayto Park has warned families across Ireland to be aware of a scam offering free family tickets to the theme park.

There is a link doing the rounds on social media platforms that claims the Meath theme park is offering five free passes to 500 families.

Users on Facebook and WhatsApp have been asked to give away their personal information in a bid to win the fake tickets.

However, Tayto Park has now issued a statement clarifying that the message has not been sent by them.

They also shared a photo of what the screen would look like if you click into the link.

It shows a screen with the text: “We’re giving 5 free passes to 500 families to celebrate our 50th birthday!”

Below that, it shows a ticker with what claims to be the “remaining number of tickets”.

People are asked to answer a series of questions, with only the first one being shown in the screen grab.

Tayto Park’s social media statement reads:

“Hi guys, we would like to advise that there is a link being sent around stating that we are giving away 5 free family passes to 500 families.

“Unfortunately, this is not correct, the website is not our’s and we would advise everyone to IGNORE this link!”
