Investigation launched after girl (13) doesn't come home from school
The teenage girl has been missing since March 9th.
An investigation is underway following the disappearance of a teenage girl in England.
13-year-old Olivia never came home from school on Thursday, March 9th, police in Derbyshire have confirmed.
Derbyshire Police are now searching for the missing teen after her family alerted them on Thursday.
Both police and her family are concerned for Olivia's safety.
The teenager is missing from the South Normanton area.
Olivia is of slim build and has dark blonde/light brown hair. She was wearing her school uniform when she was last spotted in public.
Derbyshire Police has called on anyone with information regarding Olivia's whereabouts to come forward.
Police issued a statement following Olivia's disappearance.
"Have you seen 13-year-old Olivia? She is missing from the South Normanton area.
"Olivia has not returned home from school early this afternoon (Thursday 9 March) and we are concerned for her safety."
"She is described as slim and with dark blonde/light brown hair. Olivia was wearing her school uniform- a black V-neck jumper and blazer but did not have a coat."
Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward immediately.
