Teenage girl struck by vehicle in Cork on New Year’s Eve passes away

A young girl, who was struck by a car on New Year’s Eve has tragically passed away.

The 16-year-old suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a vehicle in Cork.

The teenager was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital on New Year’s Day.

The teenage girl was struck by a car on Main Street in Ballincollig, Co Cork, at around 7.45pm on New Year’s Eve.

According to Independent.ie the driver of the car was uninjured after the collision.

Gardaí investigating the incident have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the collision to get in contact with them with any new information that they might have.
