Her mother has praised the local community in Ballyfermot and the general public for the phenomenal support.
The money will be equally divided between the pair.
"When her dad called the other night asking to give the go-ahead I wasn't too sure. I did not want people to think that we were taking the opportunity to make a profit off this horrible horrible situation," she explained.
"But then I thought to myself a couple of hundred euro would be nice if she was lucky. She could do a nice few days away somewhere when she has recovered enough with her friend."
"I never in my wildest of wild dreams could have imagined it would have gone this far for her," she confessed.
The family has received waves of support since the harrowing attack. However, they feel the best, and safest, option for them is to move house.
"We as a family have unfortunately decided that relocating to a different area might be the best option for us. We will feel safer.
"It breaks my heart to potentially leave our home."
"But I will never be comfortable letting my children out to socialise in this area again and we cannot live like that."
