The ninth, tenth, and eleventh boys have now been rescued from the flooded Thailand cave after spending 17 days trapped.

The boys and their soccer coach became stuck in the Tham Luang cave complex on June 23. They were discovered alive by divers after nine days.

Reuters reports that the ninth, tenth, and eleventh boys have successfully exited the cave.

Divers are hopeful that the remaining boys, aged between 11 and 16, and their 25-year-old coach, will be rescued by today.

Most of the boys are said to be in “good health” following the ordeal, however it is believed that two of the boys may have contracted lung infections.

Jesada Chokdumrongsuk, deputy director-general of the Public Health Ministry in Thailand, said today that all of the boys are “healthy and smiling.”

He added that they have “high immune systems” because they are footballers.

Elon Musk visited the cave with a small submarine he wanted to lend to the rescue mission.

He was told that his submarine was “not practical.”

The boys are being led through the cave’s narrow and flooded passages via rope by experienced divers from the UK, the US, China, and others.

The rescue mission is expected to conclude today.
