“Keep your opinions to yourself”
Terrie McEvoy has spoken out about the cruel messages she has received since becoming a mum.
The influencer and nurse has been hit with some pretty brutal comments, but she isn’t letting them get to her.
Terrie reminded the trolls that kindness is key. Spreading hate online, especially to a new mum is simply not okay.
She said people have criticised everything from the name of her daughter to her parenting methods.
One woman even said the name of her daughter was a “sin”.
The mum has been called horrific names that aren’t even worth repeating.
Instead of letting the trolls win, Terrie used her platform to speak out against them.

“What I’ve shared recently has been very very mild compared to some of the messages I’ve received during my first few weeks as a Mum.”
“I am absolutely fine and have an incredible support system around me so I, my family and friends laugh most of these crazy messages off.”
“It’s like water off duck’s back at this stage. I know I’m doing my level best and a bloody good job at raising our little beauty so far. That’s all that matters!”
“But I just want to highlight that although a new Mum might look like she’s doing ok she could be struggling. So please go easy on her, keep your opinions to yourself and just be kind!”
McEvoy urged new mums to ignore the cruel opinions of others.
“Once you’re doing your best and what you feel works for you then you’re doing an incredible job!”
