Tesco urgently recall cereal bars over possible presence of salmonella

Customers have been urged to avoid eating the product.

Tesco have issued an urgent recall for one of their cereal bar products over the possible presence of salmonella.

The batches of Tesco Apricot, Almond and Yogurt Bars affect by the recall are 9100 and 9101.

Tesco say they were made aware of the possible presence of salmonella by their supplier and have urged customers to avoid eating the cereal bars.

A statement on their website reads:

“We have been made aware by our supplier of the possible presence of Salmonella in 2 batch codes of Tesco Apricot, Almond and Yogurt Bars. As a precautionary measure, we are recalling the affected products.

“The 2 batch codes that are being recalled are 9100 and 9101.”

Customers can return the product to any Tesco store for a full refund. A receipt is not necessary.
