The AMAZING thing one town did for a little girl battling cancer

Sive O'Brien

Six-year-old Mable from Canada was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2013. While undergoing treatment for the disease, she developed a love of Spider-Man comics.

On Monday, her dream of being a superhero came true when the Children’s Wish Foundation and the city of Edmonton in Alberta came together to help transform Mable into Spider-Mable, for an epic mission and amazing day she’ll never forget.

Covered by local media and trending on Twitter, this is how Spider-Mable’s heroic day unfolded…

First, she was informed (in an amazing fake news bulletin) that Edmonton Oliers hockey Captain, Andrew Ference was in danger and needed saving.

Soon after, a Spider-Mable theme tune was recorded.

Meanwhile, she met with the Chief of Police who showed her a lineup of suspects.

Followed by a meeting with the Mayor to put a plan of action in place.

Then, Spider-Man became Spider-Mable’s sidekick.

Together, they managed to catch the bad guy, whilst saving the good.

She also zip-lined...

And, made the (real) news.

What a day.
