The Emmerdale couple getting married this Christmas has been revealed

There have been countless hints that there is going to be wedding bells in Emmerdale this Christmas - and fans have been wondering who the lucky couple is. Well, it looks like the mystery has been solved. According to TV Times, it's going to be Jessie Grant and Martin Dingle who are planning on getting hitched this holiday season. Actress Sandra Marvin explained:

"Marlon is Jessie's knight in shining armour. "And she thinks, 'Do you know what? Life's too short! I'm going to prove to him how much I love him!'"

She said that Jessie is going to ask Marlon's daughter, April, for permission to marry her dad first - and that, in fact, it's April's idea for them to get married at Christmas. The pair set about planning the surprise wedding with Jessie's son, Ellis. "April and Ellis are really gung ho about it," Sandra added. She went on to reflect on Marlon and Jessie's relationship, and how it "would be nice to see them make a go of things." She continued:

"As much as he wants to be with someone, he also wants a family unit around April – and that's what this is all about. "And I think Jessie would slot in well into the Dingle family. She definitely has the strength of the Dingle women. Jessie Dingle... who'd have thought it?"
